We have news of another interesting cover song from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo soundtrack. In previous articles, we reported about the release details of project, along with an awesome cover of “Immigrant Song” by Karen O, and now we get to hear the How to Destroy Angels cover of Bryan Ferry’s “Is Your Love Strong Enough.”
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross already have an Academy Award under their belts for the work they did on the score of The Social Network. Although The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo doesn’t hit theaters until December 21, the movie has already received considerable hype just because of the soundtrack.
The newest track that has been shared with us, the How to Destroy Angels cover of Bryan Ferry’s “Is Your Love Strong Enough,” is the final track on the film score. Fans of NIN will know How to Destroy Angels as Trent Reznor’s other band with Atticus Ross that also features his wife, Mariqueen Maandig. This track might be less flashy than Karen O’s “Immigrant Song,” although it has just as much emotional reach and ends the soundtrack on a beautiful and somber note.
