Occupy Wall Street continues to make its impact on the music world this week with news that Kyp Malone, of TV on the Radio fame, has joined up with ex-Liturgy percussionist Greg Fox and Oneida’s Kid Millions to produce their own Occupy-inspired album.
Details about the effort are currently scant, but the Village Voice reported that Fox described the trio’s recent four-hour jam session as “unlike anything he’d been part of.” Proceeds from the album will reportedly benefit the Occupy movement.
The Malone/Fox/Millions album is the second Occupy-inspired effort to come out since the movement’s inception early this past September. Ladytron, Yo La Tengo and Devo dropped news of their own benefit LP over Thanksgiving weekend.
