With her next album Tramp releasing Feb. 7 on Jagjaguwar, Brooklyn based Sharon Van Etten has released the first single from her third album as a tease. Entitled, “Serpents, the somber three minute track builds to a quick crescendo which the singer rides throughout the remainder of the song without letting up.
Featuring a brilliant display of multi-tracked overlapping vocals, Van Etten’s, “Serpents,” is a dramatic display of contrast and caliber.
The first track from her upcoming Junior release is a straight-forward and robust song start to finish. It’s energetic three minutes feel like they pass in a heartbeat.
