Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Music Festival, which will take place from May 30 to June 3 of 2012 in San Miguel, has just announced an initial lineup. Two of the headliners will be Bjork and Neutral Milk Hotel’s Jeff Mangum.
With Bjork’s newest album, Biophelia, recently released, fans can expect her to pay tribute to the album’s thematic emphasis on geology in some wonderfully strange, Bjorkian way. Jeff Mangum’s appearance should also be a pleasant surprise to fans of Neutral Milk Hotel, a band that has maintained a cult-like following since their 1999 breakup.
Along with the two iconic headliners, a couple other acts have also been announced such as, Guided By Voices, Codeine, Yo La Tengo, Neon Indian, and Other Lives. Festival passes are currently priced at 160 €. The early bird can already buy tickets at the festival’s website.
