English electronic group The Prodigy have been confirmed as the final headliners of this year’s Download Festival, to be held June 8-10 in Donington Park, England. The festival will also feature headlining performances from Metallica and a reunited Black Sabbath.
The Prodigy will perform on the festival’s opening night on June 8, followed by Metallica and Black Sabbath on June 9 and 10 respectively.
Metallica have confirmed plans to play the entirety of their classic 1991 self-titled album, popularly known at ‘The Black Album.’
Festival-goers will also get a chance to see all four original members of Black Sabbath —Ozzy Osbourne, Toni Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward — after the November 11 announcement that the group would reunite for a world tour and a new album. Sabbath has also announced plans to release a new album, name and release date set for sometime next fall.
