The Twilight Singers to Release First Ever Live Album

Indie rockers The Twilights Singers have announced release date for their forthcoming album, Live in New York. The album will be made available worldwide digitally on November 15, and a deluxe-double CD set is now available for pre-order through the band’s official site.

The album was recorded earlier this year at a performance at the landmark Webster Hall in New York City. This show was part of the group’s world tour in support of Dynamite Steps, their previous studio venture. The band, which was formed by musician Greg Dulli has been playing together since the year 2000. Prior to this, Dulli was member of the groups, The Afghan Whigs, and The Gutter Twins.

Other Twilight Singers albums include Twilight as Played by the Twilight Singers (2000), Blackberry Belle (2003), and She Loves You (2004). The latter is collection of cover songs of musicians ranging from the soulful Billie Holiday (Strange Fruit), the smooth John Coltrane (A Love Supreme), and the classic George Gershwin (Summertime). A review of their fourth album, Powder Burns (2006) can be found on our site here.
