The Flaming Lips Play a Halloween House Party in West Virginia

The Flaming Lips played special Halloween set for a very lucky couple dozen of people in a basement of West Virginia last night .  Wayne Coyne even helped the kids make purple popcorn.

The Halloween show came about because a follower of Wayne on twitter asked if The Flaming Lips would play a show at her house.  Last night, on October 30, The Flaming Lips made this happen for their fan.  600 Pounds of Sin, Greens and The Flaming Lips put on an intimate Halloween concert for a small group of lucky fans.

The Flaming Lips played a three song set of Halloween songs deemed as classics by Wayne:  “Halloween” by Dream Syndicate, “Black Sabbath” by Black Sabbath and “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” by Bauhaus.  Show happened on the 20th anniversary of the band’s major label debut as well as the eve of the release of their new 24 hour song.

The following photos were uploaded on Wayne Coyne’s twitter.
