All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival Curated By Jeff Mangum Pushed Back to March 2012

The previously announced All Tomorrow’s Parties festival curated by Jeff Mangum, originally slated to go down December 2-4 in Butlins in Minehead, England, has been pushed to March 9-11, 2012 due to “extremely unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances,” according to an official statement.

With scheduled performances by Mangum along with Joanna Newsom, Thurston Moore, Panda Bear, Fleet Foxes and others, the postponement of this ATP installment comes as a huge disappointment to the music world.  ATP was quick to note that the postponement, while not entirely addressed, was in no way the decision of Jeff Mangum, and they went on to say that the artist is “as disappointed as everyone else that the festival is not taking place on the original date.”

As far as tickets go, those purchased for the original December dates will be honored at the rescheduled show—although ATP is still offering refunds.  Acts for the rescheduled dates will be announced on November 10.

Dear ATP curated by Jeff Mangum ticketholders,

Thank you very much for buying tickets for ATP curated by Jeff Mangum. We’re sorry to announce that due to a set of extremely unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances, this festival event is being postponed – the event will be rescheduled to March 9th-11th 2012 at the same location of Butlins Holiday Centre, Minehead, UK.

We understand this will come as a shock and we sincerely apologise that we were not able to inform you before now – please know that we do not take this decision at all lightly. Having to reschedule an event like this is no small decision and we realise that many of you will be extremely disappointed, as are we. We try to put the community of ATP attendees first in every decision we make and hope that you will understand when we say that if the postponement was in any way avoidable, then we would not be rescheduling – disappointing the community that makes our events what they are is something we find very painful.

For now, your tickets will be automatically transferred to the new dates in 2012. We are contacting all of the artists on the line-up and hope that many, if not all of them will be able to perform at the re-arranged weekend – and we will also be adding more artists in the coming months to complete the line-up which we’re sure will make for a fantastic event. On November 10th we will confirm all of the artists who will stay from the original line-up and also announce some new additions.

If you won’t be able to attend the rescheduled dates, we sincerely apologise and can offer you a refund of your tickets – please contact the ticket agency you used if you would like to do so – see below for a list of those companies and contact info. We hope to see you at another ATP event soon. You will need to apply for your refund before the end of December. Seetickets and Gigantic will also be refunding booking fees, though this may not include transaction fees.

Our heartfelt apologies go out to any of you who had already made travel plans and we hope you’ll be able to reschedule or get a refund on any transport bookings without any loss.

The separate London shows for The Magic Band, Superchunk, Thurston Moore and Panda Bear shows will stay at their original dates – we are waiting to hear back regarding the Jeff Mangum and Olivia Tremor Control London shows which may also be rescheduled – keep an eye on our website for confirmation – we will let you know as soon as we can.

We thank you again for booking, for putting your faith in us and the festival, and we hope to see you in March for a great event.

As there is some more time now before the event, we can re-open the installment ticket scheme so that people who don’t have tickets yet can pay a deposit now of £70 (room only) or £80 (self catered) and then pay the rest of their ticket price by the end of February. See this webpage for details.

If you have any questions then you can get in touch with one of us directly via feedback@atpfestival.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as we possibly can – you can keep an eye on the news feed at this link for updates on the rescheduled line-up.

Yours faithfully,

Barry Hogan & everyone at ATP Concerts.
