Shining Bright
It’s not surprising that My Brightest Diamond, a project by singer-songwriter Shara Worden, wouldn’t be anything less than luminescent. Since collaborating with Sufjan Stevens and The Decemberists, and earning admiration of Bon Iver, The National’s Bryce Dessner and others along the way, Shara Worden has proven a talent beyond her years. And My Brightest Diamond has touched fans over the years with an overwhelming collection of musical wonders.
All Things Will Unwind is an album about exploration. As much about love, politics, the global financial meltdown as having your first child, with no topic out of reach for musical mastery. Worden adds in an additional layer to the already pure and complex album by incorporating the astonishing talents of yMusic, bringing depth to the already textured and sophisticated album. All Things Will Unwind overflows with masterpieces, from the wavy guitar that opens the album on “We Added It Up” to folky Americana on “There’s a Rat” to “Ding, Ding” using strings, bass, marimba and every possible musical instrument to combine in perfect harmony.
All Thing Will Unwind, and equally Shara Worden, thrive on creating and conquering challenging situations and erupting with inspiration and raising the bar not only for other musicians who want to follow in their steps, but also for themselves.
