In reverence to their to mutli-platinum seventh studio album, Achtung Baby, U2 has decided to compile and release an album of covers for the well coveted record, their first of the ’90s. Bundled up with November’s issue of Q Magazine, AHK-toong BAYbi Covered, will jointly celebrate the album’s 20th and the magazine’s 25th anniversaries.
For the album which paved U2’s musical and image reinvention, featuring singles such as, “The Fly,” “One,” and, “Zoo Station,” the band has brought on quite an ensemble of artists for the 12 track record. Amongst the genre and decade spanning cast are; Patti Smith, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Jack White, Garbage, and the Killers.
AHK-toong BAYbi Covered will be available on magazine shelves come Oct. 26 within Q Magazine.
