Mazzy Star Set to Release First New Material in 15 Years

On Halloween day, a 15 year drought of new music will end with at least a mild shower.  With accompanying B-side, Mazzy Star is gearing up to release a new single, their first official release since 1996’s Among My Swan.

Announced on Mazzy Star vocalist Hope Sandoval’s web site, “Common Burn,” with B-Side, “Lay Myself Down,” will release via Rhymes Of An Hour Records, the album cover clearly showcases the band’s name in the top left corner.  The two songs will release digital on Oct. 31 with a limited vinyl release to follow on Nov. 8.
