Singer-songwriter Tom Waits has released second song, “Back in the Crowd,” from his upcoming album Bad As Me, set for release on October 25.
Bad As Me will be Waits’ 17th studio album, and will be his first album consisting of entirely new material since 2004’s Real Gone.
This most recent installment follows the release of title track “Bad As Me.” The two tracks are very different, making the upcoming album release all the more intriguing for fans used to Waits’ typical pre-rock styles that capitalize on the experimental tendencies of combining blues, jazz, and vaudeville into his uniquely-voiced pieces.
“Back in the Crowd” features a collaboration with guitarist Marc Ribot and Los Lobos frontman David Hidalgo. For a full look, check out the video below:
