With the recent release of the video for “Do You Feed” from the David Comes to Life accompanying compilation David’s Town, Canadian outfit Fucked Up seems set to become the most confusing band in the hardcore scene. Check out the video, and an explanation, after the jump.
Fucked Up released David Comes to Life, a multilayered 18-track rock opera that the titular character David suffers at the death of his love Veronica, back in early June. Accompanying the album’s release was David’s Town, a compilation album of tracks from made up British punk bands from the same town as David—all of which were written and performed by Fucked Up.
The video for “Do You Feed,” which incidentally has the subtitle of “The Curry Song” and is originally attributed to the fictional band Animal Man, is bouncy and silly, a perfect accompaniment to the playfully abrasive track. Check out the video below:
