With the Nevermind tribute show wrapped early this week and a reissue of the album set to drop September 27, the twentieth anniversary of Nirvana’s watershed grunge album is now in full swing. Now, previously unreleased video of the band’s Halloween 1991 performance at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre, which will be fully released with the album, has hit the web.
Songs from the recorded performance include “Territorial Pissings” and “Breed,” the video footage of both of those tracks having hit the web earlier this week. The videos show a young and rather shirtless Dave Grohl banging out the classic Nirvana tunes on drums accompanied by an energetic Kurt Cobain and noticeably shoeless Kris Novoselic on bass. Together the band appears raw, agitated and in the prime of their musical lives.
