“Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” will launch a week-long Pink Floyd celebration, beginning Monday. The show will feature performances from The Shins, MGMT, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, and more.
According to Billboard, the Shins will begin the event with a cover of “Breathe” from Dark Side of the Moon. MGMT will perform “Lucifer Sam” from The Piper at the Gates of Dawn on Wednesday night.
Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason will also drop in for a Monday appearance with Fallon, and bassist/vocalist Roger Waters will join the Foo Fighters onstage on Tuesday for a performance of “In the Flesh” from The Wall.
Pearl Jam will make a Friday night appearance with a performance of “Mother” from The Wall.
Fallon’s Monday kickoff of the celebration coincides with the September 26 launch of a reissue campaign that will include remastered versions of Pink Floyd’s entire 14 album studio repertoire, box sets, and a greatest hits collection.
The collection will be available through EMI Music.
