Radiohead To Tour 2012 In Support of The King of Limbs

Announced earlier tonight during a BBC Radio broadcast, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke stated the band will tour off and on throughout next year in support of their latest album, The King of Limbs.  Yorke also stated his super-group, Atoms For Peace, have finished recording a full length album.

Though no tour dates have been announced, Yorke unveiled the upcoming tour sans schedule during Gilles Peterson’s BBC Radio 1 program earlier this evening.  However, the band won’t be touring throughout the complete year, but will tour off and on over the course of 2012.

It feels like a good idea now that we figured out how to play it to go and do it in front of people for a bit, said Yorke during Gilles Peterson’s broadcast.

Yorke also mentioned the band experienced a “massive buzz” of energy and encouragement from their surprise Glastonbury performance earlier this past Summer.  The surprise show along with their comfort in performing The King of Limbs live has led the band to begin scheduling a support tour for 2012.

As for the Atoms For Peace album, the recording process is over but the album is still being mixed and finished, no release date has been announced.
