Bonnie “Prince” Billy Releases “Quail and Dumplings” First Taste of New Album

Indie DIY icon Bonnie “Prince” Billy (AKA William Oldham) recently released “Quail and Dumplings”, three-song taste of his forthcoming album Wolfroy Goes To Town, due out on Drag City Records October 14. The EP features the title track as well as two songs that are unavailable anywhere else.

The singer, songwriter and actor’s song “I See A Darkness” was covered by Johnny Cash on his American Solitary: III album, in which Oldham sang back up vocals, and artists such as Steve Adey and Mark Kozelek have also covered his material and cited him as an influence.

Ben Berman (editor of Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job) directed “Quail and Dumplings”. Check out the video below:
