After breaking hearts in 2006 by calling it quits, DFA 1979 has made 2011 their year. If you don’t know what went down at their SXSW show…. it involved mace, torn fences, and a table being thrown at a horse (there was a law officer on it). Hopefully, there won’t be any of that this go around, just a whole lot of rocking out to a band that will always be welcomed back with open arms. Although, I guess in the spirit of rock n’ roll, maybe just a bar stool or two, softly tossed. Viva La Death from Above 1979!
