Two years after departing with the Cardinals, Ryan Adams has returned to his solo ventures as a musician. After last year’s metal inspired, Orion, released he has taken to his roots again with his next album Ashes & Fire set to release later this year.
However, with an early unveiling, Adams advanced the track, “Invisible Riverside,” during a segment on KCRW during Liza Richardson’s Saturday show over this passed weekend.
The slow rolling acoustic track mixes a mellow blend of soft rock aesthetic with a rustic sound common place 30 and 40 years ago in rock. The throw-back track, reminiscent of Niel Young during his immediate career following Crazy Horse and Crosby Stills Nash and Young, can be heard here as well.
