Florence + The Machine revealed a video for “What the Water Gave Me” late last month, a bit of news followed up this week with more details about their upcoming Universal Public sophomore release, Ceremonials.
Produced by the legendary Paul Epworth (Adele, Cee Lo Green), Ceremonials features 12 new tracks from the band and is available for preorder in the UK now. Frontwoman Florence Welch said in a recent interview with Pitchfork that the album is a result of the band’s maturation on the road during their recently wrapped summer tour schedule.
“With Lungs, I hit on the sound I wanted about halfway through making it. With this record, I’ve been able to expand on the idea that I was hitting on towards the end of making Lungs [their 2009 debut]. It’s like taking everything from the first album that seemed quite separate and making them whole,” she said in the Pitchfork interview.
The tracklisting for Ceremonials is below:
Only If for Night
Shake It Out
What The Water Gave Me
Never Let Me Go
Breaking Down
Lover to Lover
No Light No Light
