Astronautalis Announces Fall Tour After Releasing This Is Our Science

A week before setting out on the road for a solid six week tour, the vagabond hip hop electro-rock sensation Astronautalis released his latest album, This Is Our Science.  The 11 track album is rife with guest artists including; John Congleton, Tegan Quin, Radical Face, Midlake & The Riverboat Gamblers, P.O.S., Alias, Cecil Otter, and Lazerbeak.

Finding a current that flows with both hip hop and rock elements, This Is Our Science, is more than the title leads one to believe.  Nor is it niche, track after track the album expressed a deeper artistic mastery of hip hop beat and syncopation with a rock accompaniment and aesthetic.

Featuring an A-team of indie hip hop collaborators from producers and rappers, Astronautalis has been joined by members of Doomtree, Electric President, Rhymesayers, and anticon’s Alias, all wrapped up by producer John Congleton who’s worked with Modest Mouse and St. Vincent.  The 11 tracks of This Is Our Science is a testament to his collaborative efforts and strict disciplines towards his own blend of two quite different genres of music.
