R&B singer Janelle Monae will be touring on the Campus Consciousness Tour 2011 this fall.
So far, the shows are only in October, but more dates are said to be announced soon.
Monae will be supported by fun., a band comprised of Nate Ruess, Jack Antonoff, and Andrew Dost. fun. is working on their Fueled By Ramen debut, produced by Jeff Bhasker, that will be released next year.
Monae’s latest album release was The ArchAndroid (Suites II and III) in May 2010, but she is currently working on new material for her latest album.
The Campus Consciousness Tour is a music and environmental/social consciousness campaign that aims to reach out and activate students in an entertaining atmosphere while leaving a positive impact on each community and college that the tour reaches.
