Maynard James Keenan Side Project Puscifer Releases Video for “Man Overboard”

Maynard James Keenan’s side-project Puscifer has released video for the track “Man Overboard,” in preparation for the October 18 release of their album Conditions of My Parole.

Puscifer has released one other album, V is for Vagina, in 2007, as well as three remix albums, 2 EPs, and several singles. The group’s only permanent member, is Keenan, who also spends time as member of Tool and A Perfect Circle, has described the album as being “like Twin Peaks in the desert.”

If that weren’t cryptic enough, the video is distinctly disquieting. However, fans have come to expect nothing less from Keenan. He describes Puscifer as his “creative subconscious,” which, in the case of “Man Overboard,” appears to be both bleak and nautical.

The album follows Keenan’s summer tour with A Perfect Circle, and he has not ruled out the possibility of Circle putting out “a track or two.” In a June interview with Spin, Keenan said, “The energy is good, so there’s always the potential for a future.” Tool, he says, is also in the writing process.

So, between the wine-making and side projects, Keenan has been keeping himself busy. Look for the release of Conditions of My Parole coming up on October 18.
