The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Greg Puciato and Soulfly’s Max Cavalera recently wound up a songwriting session for a one-off collaboration project. Recorded at Cavalera’s home in Phoenix, Ariz., the session yielded a four track demo.
Demoing heavy music the best way possible…at blistering volumes, no headphones, guitars and mics everywhere, all plugged in at all times, posted Puciato on this Facebook.
Jamming out like teenagers in the garage, the duo kept things raw and simple for the recording session.
Though Puciato and Cavalera don’t expect to turn a band out of this collaborative effort, they both expect the project to turn towards Nailbomb, Cavalera’s one time industrial group from the mid-90s.
Greg loves Nailbomb and he’s trying to get me to do a Nailbomb kind of project…But it’s gonna be like a project, not a band, said Cavalera in an interview with Metal Shrine.
While out in Arizona, Puciato also joined Soulfly on stage for, “Rise Of The Fallen,” during the 14th annual D-Low Memorial, a memorial show held by Cavalera for his deceased stepson Dana Wells.
