Robbers on High Street have announced plans for West Coast tour alongside The Allah-Las, scheduled to continue through late October. They’ve also revealed the art for their upcoming album, Hey There Golden Hair, out September 13 on Rocco Grecco Records.
Hey There Golden Hair will be the first album in four years for the group since their 2007 release of Grand Animals. Produced by front-man Ben Trokan and Flight of the Concords engineer Matt Shane, the album will boast newly-expanded 6 man lineup and contributions from a horn section from Daptone Records.
Its cover also features the art of Alexander Gorlizki, who has been featured in galleries around the world. Here he has produced a modern take on traditional Italian miniature paintings.
Hey There Golden Hair will also be made available on 12-inch vinyl from Tijuana Gift Shop.
The group plans to hit the road with The Allah-Las this fall, an L.A.-based psychedelic rock group. The tour kicks off in San Diego and will stop at The Roxy in LA, Portland, and Seattle, and will finish up in Vancouver.
A live version of the track “Watch Me Disappear” is available here.
