Faith No More‘s keyboardist Roddy Bottum confirmed via Twitter that the band will be expanding their South American tour by adding a date at the Teatro de Verano in Uruguay:
“headsUP, Uruguay! FNM will perform at the Teatro de Verano in Montevideo! Wed, November 9, 2011. looking forward to meeting you all!”.
Both Bottum and the band’s bassist Billy Gould are very active tweeters, preferring that method of reaching out to their fans as opposed to talking directly to the press.
Although Faith No More singer Mike Patton has denied a studio album in the works, the band recently announced they would be headlining SWU Festival in Brazil and are promising something sweet for fans at Chile’s Maquinaria Festival in September. Who knows what surprises are in store from the revived rockers?
Despite parting ways over a decade ago, Faith No More rejoined forces in 2009 and stormed Europe, South America, Australia, and the U.S. with the massive Second Coming tour, finishing up in December 2010 in Chile.
The fan reaction, notably in South American countries such as Brazil and Chile, was huge for this tour, and fans often reach out on the Faith No More fanblog with song requests, gripes, praise and thanks, and will no doubt be blowing up in the blogosphere in the coming months leading up to the tour.
