Some days you just want to dance like it’s 199-something. Enter Handsome Furs, a montreal husband and wife duo composed of Dan Boeckner (Wolf Parade), and Alexei Perry. Dark minimalist noise, disenchanted vocals, drum machine flurries, and some serious beats. Check them out at Mohawk, and stay for the after show featuring Suede Uppers if you just don’t want to head home yet, or catch the Furs at Waterloo before their Mohawk show around 5 if you really, really love them with all your dark little heart.
