New York City-based hardcore metal band Biohazard has announced its first album in six years, Reborn in Defiance. It will be the last to feature the group’s original lineup after lead vocalist Evan Seinfeld’s departure from the band in June. It is scheduled to hit European markets on September 26, with North American release dates pending.
Reborn in Defiance will be Biohazard’s first studio album to feature the group’s original lineup since 1994’s State of the World Address, with Evan Seinfeld on vocals and bass, Billy Graziadei on guitar and vocals, Danny Schuler on drums, and Bobby Hambel on guitar. The album was produced by Toby Wright, who has worked with the likes of Korn, Slayer, Mötley Crüe, and Ozzy Osbourne.
A song from the album, “Reborn,” can be streamed here.
In a recent interview with Sweden’s Metalshine, guitarist Billy Graziadei commented on Seinfeld’s departure, saying, “We’re all psyched and happy and even though things are different it doesn’t mean much has changed!’ The heart and soul of the band is still intact and we’re gonna continue.” He said that Seinfeld may have left because of personal issues, and though the band is disappointed in his decision, they will continue on with Roberts in his place.
