Kanye West and Jay-Z Announce Tour Dates, Officially Title Their Project The Throne

Longtime friends and collaborators Kanye West and Jay-Z have officially titled their hip-hop duet project, “The Throne.”  With the debut album releasing exclusively on iTunes Aug. 8, the pair have announced an extensive Fall tour in support of the project.

With 24 confirmed dates currently, Watch The Throne Tour will kick off in Detroit Sept. 22 before breaking west across North America.  Following two back-to-back shows at the Staples Center in late October, the tour will head back across North America through the South and Southwest before heading up the East Coast with the last confirmed show in Boston Nov. 3.

Ticket availability will coincide with the exclusive iTunes release date on Aug. 8.  Those that purchase their tickets online via Ticketmaster or LiveNation will also receive a digital copy of the debut album, Watch The Throne.  Pre-sale tickets will be made available on LiveNation July 28.

The lead track, “Otis,” has been made available today for those that pre-order the iTunes deluxe edition of, Watch The Throne.  That track, which premiered last Wednesday on New York’s Hot 97’s FunkMaster Flex Show can also be heard via stream here.

On Aug. 12 the physical copy for Watch The Throne will hit store shelves while also releasing through other digital retailers.
