As we’ve mentioned before, Ryan Adams loves covering other peoples songs. And it’s becoming more and more evident that Mr. Adams has quite the affinity for Vampire Weekend’s incredible sensibility when it comes to popular music.
In fact, not too long ago Adams posted on his Facebook page that he would record a “totally solo folk version” of Vampire Weekend’s first album and give it only to Vamp Weekend’s frontman Ezra Koenig, stating simply: “if for no other reason than to make my pal Ezra fully realize how important these songs are to the integrity of manking.” Although it was noted on his frequently updated Facebook page that the album was meant only for Koenig, Adams has decided to slowly unveil the tracks to his tribute rendition of the album.
