Mumford and Sons Serenade Strummerville Campsite at Glastonbury

Surprises came in no short order at this year’s Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, with Radiohead and Pulp making unexpected performances.  With a pending hiatus looming over the festival due to next year’s Olympics, performers seized any opportunity for an impromptu performance.

The night after their billed Friday show at the Other Stage, folk rock Mumford and Sons set up five song surprise show at the Strummerville Campsite.  The folk group played, “Roll Away Your Stone,” and, “The Cave,” from Sigh No More along with singles, “Lover’s Eyes,” and, “Nothing Is Written.”  For their final song of the secret Saturday show, Mumford and Sons performed a cover of Neil Young’s, “Dance Dance Dance.”
