Senior British Politician Dies At Glastonbury Festival

Senior Tory party member Christopher Shale died early Sunday morning at the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts.  His body was found in a portable toilet in a VIP backstage area, he was 56.

A close personal friend and political ally of United Kingdom’s Prime Minister David Cameron, Shale’s death has come as a complete shock to members of the West Oxfordshire Conservative Association, a conservative political association in Witney which he chaired.

No cause of death has been confirmed at this time and reports unto the cause are currently inconclusive.  Although sources of the UK’s Guardian along with Shale family members believe he had heart attack, The Telegraph has reported that coroner officer Ben Batley has determined his cause of death as, “unascertained,” at this time while they await more toxicology reports.

The Telegraph later reported that East Somerset coroner Tony Williams believes the toxicology results currently available suggest nothing unusual and further do not suggest the use of drugs.  The inquest into his death issued by Williams and Batley has been adjourned until a later date pending additional toxicology inquiries.

Pronounced dead at 9:17 a.m. Sunday morning, his body was discovered at 8:45 a.m in the VIP backstage area between the Pyramid and Other stages.
