After an eight year drought of new music and the return of the timeless Joey Belladonna into the lineup, Anthrax is now putting the final touches on their next studio album, Worship Music. As a thank you to fans, the band has released a track from the upcoming album to download for free.
Worship Music will be the first album with Belladonna on vocals since Persistence of Time, which hit shelves almost 21 years ago.
The song available for download, titled, “Fight’em ’til You Can’t,” drives with the same thrash abandon and speed that heralded the attitude which Belladonna brought to the band after singer Neil Turbin departed. The lyrical content of this new track, the dead rising from the grave and attacking the living.
But true to their time apart, the single rings more melodiously than the thrash and bash days of Belladonna perpetuating the band’s musical progress since Sound of the White Noise.
