Los Angeles hardcore punk outfit The Bronx have chosen not to resist their mariachi alter ego and release a second album as Mariachi El Bronx in time for their fall tour with the Foo Fighters.
After what started out as a gimmick the band came up with when asked to perform an acoustic set for Fuel TV, Mariachi El Bronx, the alter ego of hardcore punk band the Bronx has broken through and is back for a follow up to their eponymous first album. The band has once again teamed up with John Avila, formerly of Oingo Boingo, to co-produce the album which was also recorded at Avila’s studio, Brando’s Paradise, in San Gabriel, California.
