Ringing in their eight year running, FYF Fest has announced their 2011 lineup along with new location and partnership. Due to overwhelming crowds at last year’s festival, FYF Fest organizers teamed up with Goldenvoice this year to better accommodate the festival’s growing popularity and draw.
In wake of the enormous 20,000 strong crowd which surprised festival organizers last year, FYF Fest has found new home in downtown LA close to City Hall at 1st and Main. With ticket sales beginning this Friday at 3:00 p.m. PST on TicketWeb.com for the Labor Day Weekend festival, organizers are not only expecting but gearing up for another stellar turn out.
To avoid any issues due to attendee turn out, festival organizers have made a number of improvements to this year’s festival which will directly address problems which led to numerous complaints from festival patrons last year.
To subdue the length of lines at the festival entrance and concession stands, multiple entrances will be set up including a VIP and press entrance with four separate concession areas spread throughout the festival grounds.
Festival organizers have also catered up to three times as many food vendors compared to previous FYF Fests with a greater variety of food giving attendees more options to choose from. With a larger selection of vegan and vegetarian vendors, the festival will provide healthier concessions at lowered prices including water at a flat $2.
