In the wake of Wolf Parade’s upcoming hiatus starting May 30, Spencer Krug has announced plans to release a Moonface full length and embark on supporting tour.
Entitled Organ Music Not Vibraphone Like I’d Hoped, the release will his shelves August 2 from Jajaguwar. Serving as the follow up to 2010’s Dreamland EP: Marimba and Shit-Drums, Moonface’s debut LP will feature just five tracks and runs just under 40 minutes.

Along with announcing the upcoming LP, Krug also said in a recent interview that he will be working on no less than two other side projects.
“Later this year I will be recording with a Helsinki-based band called Siinai. I’ll also be working on new percussion recordings and performances with my friend Mike Bigelow, who is a gentle, borderline alcoholic with fast hands also currently helping me to play the Organ Music LP onstage. After this year, who knows? But I think I will stay on a zig-zag path until I fall.”
Krug’s supporting Moonface tour kicks off July 13 in Toronto, with US dates starting just two days later in Detroit.
