ISAM: Control Over Nature is a limited edition hardback book put together by Amon Tobin and Saatchi Collection artist Tessa Farmer. The book features exclusive images the ‘ISAM’ collaborative installation by the duo.
The images are shot by Pelle Crepin and are not available anywhere else in the ‘ISAM’ series.
Along with the pictures is an essay by John Doran, founder and editor of The Quietus, in which he delves into the themes surrounding the collaboration and includes in-depth interviews with both artists. Doran writes, “Amon Tobin and Tessa Farmer are going deeper and deeper into their art, away from the macro and into the micro but they are fearless explorers like Alice disappearing down the rabbit hole, not cyphers of angst in a modern age.”
Art exhibit ‘Control Over Nature’ will run at The Crypt Gallery in the UK from Thursday 26th May until Sunday 5th June 2011, with the private view taking place on Wednesday 25th May (6-9pm). The exhibit will come to the U.S. in fall 2011.
