Where hip-hop was one considered a dangerous genre, those days are long gone. Rap is such a part of the mainstream nowadays that “pimpin'” and “blunts” might as well be “marketing department” and “promotions.” In the spirit of the ultra poppy Black Eyed Peas, Wiz Khalifa is a stoned-out hip-hop pop start. Singing about “rolling papers” and wanting to “party all night long,” this was less “thug” and mostly just “ugh.”
