Evidently not a draw for the throngs that came for Arcade Fire or The Strokes this weekend, Wire’s set was criminally unattended. Less than 100 people stood watching as one of the greatest living UK punk bands performed songs exhibiting glimpses into the varied phases of their great career. Some songs were the no-nonsense driving, chord-y punk, others the post-punk experimentation that came later. Seriously Coachella, where were you?
