Animal Collective–the highly exerimental group that one numerous press accolades behind their 2009 album Merriweather Post Pavilion–on the main stage were not much more than a monotonous mess. The group’s psychedelia and repetitive rhythms fell flat. The large screens that flanked either side of the main stage showed nonstop colorful imagery instead of thwe band. It might’ve helped to see some of the band’s performance their instead, but probably not.
