Thao Nguyen and her band the Get Down Stay Down were a delightful edition to the afternoon. Occasionally upbeat, but mostly on the moderate tempo side of things, Thao is an impressive frontwoman. There’s nothing flashy about her fret work, but it’s immediately evident she’s remarkably skilled. The crowd loved this, and her charisma furthered their enthusiasm.
