In stark contrast to some of the incarnations of his recent non-Jane’s Addiction work (Satellite Party, Peretz) Perry Ferrell’s set with his wife Etty Lau billed Perry & Etty Vs. Chris Cox was not terrible. Some of Farrell’s other side projects have bordered on meandering and unfocused. Here, husband and wife largely left the sequeuncing and pacing to Chris Cox. He percolated or slowed down the beat effectively, and every 10 minutes or so put down a solid backing track that the Farrell’s would sing a 90’s trance melody over.
