Sadly, Here We Go Magic were a bit less effective over at the Outdoor Theatre. Their basslines were top notch, but generally the music was just too sedate, especially during the worst of the mid-day sun. The bassist kept a solid deployment of thumping notes while the band kept plodding along. It’s a shame because their recorded music is quite good. Their finale became a cacophonous explosion of feedback, unlike the rest of their set.
