Coming from numerous backgrounds and ethnicities, Gogol Bordello is a force to be reckoned with. They are a shining exemplum of how to engage a crowd without set design or visual effects. Every member bring exuberant energy to each and every song. Dialing up their tempo to gypsy punk madness, their music got a sun-drenched crowd dancing and waving their arms franticly. Particularly excellent was their pro-immigration anthem “Immigraniada” and the almost hard rock singalong “Break the Spell.” All bands touring right now should learn from what these guys bring to the table.
