In celebration of their 15th anniversary, Stones Throw Records will be presenting a series of exclusive shows with artists off their label. The performances will be directly recorded onto vinyl LP. Check out the details after the jump.
The sets will be directly recorded onto vinyl LPs, in front of an audience at Capsule Labs studio/pressing plant in Los Angeles. 500 vinyls will be pressed, and no digital copies or CDs whatsoever will be manufactured.
Stones Throw Direct-to-Disc #1 takes place Thursday, April 14, with headliner Mayer Hawthorne & The County. Opening will be jazz group Rick (featuring Sam Gendel of Teen Inc) with Stones Throw founder Peanut Butter Wolf DJing between sets.
