Infantree – Would Work

Working Man

The Los Angeles based quartet has just released Would Work, their first full-length debut on Vapor Records. The 12 song album delivers a folk rock album that is a perfect mix of being lyrically busy and musically laid back.

Work was produced by Niko Bolas (Neil Young, John Mayer) and recorded at the famed Sunset Lounge in Los Angeles by Alex Vojdani (vocals, lyrics, guitar, bass, keys), Matt Kronish (vocals, lyrics, guitar, banjo, bass), Donald Fisher (vocals, lyrics, keys, bass, mandolin, guitar) and Jordan Avesar (drums). The foursome have a unique chemistry and their backgrounds have fused together to create something amazing.

The album begins with “Water,” a mix of dreamy folk with a wistful laid back approach to the guitars and drum rhythms. “In Line” takes more of turn to incorporate layers of surf rock with down home Americana, the type of song that lazy summer afternoons were made for with it’s slow tempo. The album highlight isMourning Glory” with bluesy rock drums that are infectious to say the least. Yet “Rubbed Raw” and “Meet The Gang” continue to add the final layers in the series, with a juxapostion of fast rifts and slow down bridges bringing the album to a unique yet successfully slow stop.

Would Work is an album that is an album waiting to be discovered, and a band on it’s way to stardom. They have been able to come together out the gate to create something brilliant. The raw talent, matched with musical ingenuity is refreshing and admired.
