And the last of the hype drawing newcomers at SXSW, The Vaccines, followed the brutal punk of OFF! While The Vaccines have some pretty good tunes, their showmanship leaves much to be desired. The songs are memorable and catchy, but nothing about their demeanor engages the audience. They just kind of stand there playing their instruments. A decent band, but enough to really make a point that they will be an enormously popular new band.
