Avenged Sevenfold Set to Headline the 2011 Revolver Golden Gods Award Show

Avenged Sevenfold have signed on to give the headlining performance at the third annual Revolver Golden Gods Award Show on Wednesday, April 20, at Club Nokia in Downtown LA.

This performance will set the stage for the band’s upcoming “Welcome to the Family” tour in support of their current album, Nightmare.

Voting is going on from now until April 1 and fans can go to Revolver’s website to vote for which rockers will take home the awards in such categories as “Bes Guitarist”, “Best Live Band”, or ‘Most Metal Athelte’.

This year, the award show will be hosted by Chris Jericho and will include performances by the reunited Alice Cooper Group, Loaded, Volbeat, Fozzy, Asking Alexandria, as well as a Black Flag Tribute by Devildriver.

Fans unable to see the award show in person can tune in to VH1 Classic on Saturday, May 28 to see the televised version of the event.
