Fans of Yuck may remember limited-edition cassette release last summer, under the name of Yu(c)k titled Weakend and released on Mirror Universe Tapes. Different from the typical indie pop jams Yuck normally produces, this cassette held a collection of simplistic piano ballads.
Oupa, the new project from Yuck frontman Daniel Blumberg, picks up right where that EP left off. The debut EP, Forget, which is set to be released in June, contains seven mesmerizing tracks.
Oupa will soon be making his live debut at this year’s SXSW Festival before heading out on select dates with Porcelain Raft later this month and supporting Sebadoh in NYC.
