The pool at Skybar may be the best place to be seen in Hollywood, but not to be heard. On February 17th, however, Dum Dum Girls did their best to rock the venue despite a pool separating them from their audience and a plastic tent overhead for acoustics.
Dee Dee, Jules, Bambi, and Sandy may look like the Pussycat Dolls with names reminiscent of Josie and the Pussycats, but their music is much more: driving, dreamy pop with acerbic lyrics that has been described as “Bangles meets The Cure.” They just released a new EP He Gets Me High, a follow-up to their 2010 debut album I Will Be.
